Lilith’s daughter

In Daughter of Lilith, we chose a clean, naturalistic digital look — straight from the sensor in spirit, but carefully refined in post. No film emulation, no heavy grain, no vintage LUTs, and importantly, no strong optical softening. The image remains sharp and modern, with good micro-contrast and detail, yet we did work on the skin: subtle smoothing of texture imperfections and control of highlights to keep it natural and flattering, without crossing into over-softened territory.

This choice aligns perfectly with the current trend toward unfiltered authenticity in short and independent cinema. In a time when digital tools can simulate anything — from 35mm halation to anamorphic flares — many filmmakers are pushing back against romanticized “film cosplay” and instead leaning into the native strengths of today’s high-resolution sensors: surgical sharpness, accurate color science, expansive dynamic range, and unflinching realism.
